Project Name: Holy Angels School and Church
Location: Sidney, Ohio
The south facade restoration at Holy Angels School was completed in the Summer of 2004 The project included repair/replacement of the limestone panels that were dislodged or damaged. The building exterior was cleaned and joints repaired. Damaged limestone panels were removed and replaced with new limestone and pinned in place with stainless steel pins. The entire facade was tested for soundness, and problem areas detected were cut-out, re-pinned and replacement stone set in place.
The facade of Holy Angels Church was restored over a four year period in the late 1990s. The building was cleaned, mortar joints cut-out and replaced and deteriorated brick was removed and replaced. Gutters and downspouts were repaired/replaced with copper. The steeple was restored with extensive brick replacement and considerable work was completed in the open bell tower area.
