St. Joseph Catholic Church

A study was completed in 1994 for the Parish Future Committee which was charged with analyzing the Parish needs into the 21st Century. The study focused on the 1880s Parish school including a large addition adding classrooms, gymnasium, kitchen, cafeteria, meeting rooms, music rooms and elevator for access to the school and church. The new building includes senior citizen and youth activity spaces, large multi-purpose space (family life center), music room, chapel and elevator accessibility to all levels of the church and addition. Following the fund raising phase, Phase I included construction of the Family Life Center built adjacent to the church. The building was designed to compliment the existing Gothic church and fit within other existing facilities on this compact city site.
